Cleanliness Is Godliness But It’s Also Comfortable Sleeping

Bedroom Furniture Ideas - Pikalily Blog

Desiring a good night’s sleep is normal, but how you achieve it can be unconventional. Many people will use mood music by their bedside to relax them and slowly but surely wind down in their mind. It’s also okay to use a bit of conventional thinking and mixing it in with something that isn’t so common.

The overall aim is to get a good sleep so you should be willing to explore different techniques as the reward is always going to be great. New parents will know that feeling of relief when you finally get a good nights sleep, it took us quite a number of months following Lewis’s birth to achieve this.

But what if you don’t have a clean room, can you get the rest you want? Common thinking says no because the mixture of bad smells and poor air quality will stop you from ever being truly comfortable. Maybe that’s why you wake up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason or maybe why it takes you abnormally long to even get some sleep. They say cleanliness is next to godliness but little do you know that it can help you be more proficient at understanding how to get to sleep more effectively. Here are a few thoughts as to why this could be the case.

That Undying Odor

The bedroom can often give the smell of the carpet or flooring or even the furniture that is in it. The carpet and other furnishings like your bedding and even clothes that lie about can absorb so much that they can quickly develop their own odor, and not always a pleasant one.

If you ever have dirty clothes on the floor of your bedroom you’ll be dispensing dirt and debris from outside the home also. As you can see a mulching of different things can make a carpet have it’s own distinct smell. To clean your carpet you should use a steam and water pressure vacuum that has soap and hot water injected into the head of the cleaner. This pulls up the dirt far more effectively from carpets, helping remove odors and helping you with your sleep.

The Cloud You Sleep On

If you have a superb mattress you know that it’s usually going to be made out of a top quality material. This could be a high density but very breathable wool or very soft cotton. Other times it can be made out of foam which is getting more and more popular each year.

However, small patches of germs can form on the mattress if it’s not regularly cleaned. Regularly cleaning your mattress and bedding is another way to ensure your bedroom remains a sanctuary and a place for you to relax at the end of the day. We’re not kids any more so there really is no excuse for not regularly cleaning your bedding. Check out this great guide for how to get rid of mattress stains.

Fresh Smells

Pikalily Bedroom

One of the best ways to ensure you create a space for a great night sleep in your bedroom is to make it a place you want to enter. Look at fragrance plugs and diffusers or even candles to help provide a welcoming smell to your bedroom and consider regularly opening your windows to let the fresh air in. This will all help to create the sort of place you want to unwind in come the end of a long hard day. Now all that remains is to keep your room clean, and free from clutter.
