Travelling in Style – What to Consider

Going travelling is always great fun, but sometimes it’s also fun to travel in style. If like us you’re starting to think about your 2019 travel plans, here are a few things to consider when it comes to your travel arrangements.

5 Things to Consider When it Comes to Travelling

Should You Travel Business Class?

Travelling business class isn’t something we’ve done ourselves, but we’ve read a few fellow blogger tales (Janet from Journalist on the Run and Johnny from One Step 4Ward), and they certainly show the benefits of paying a little more for business class flights.

In fact, you mightn’t even have to pay much more, or maybe even nothing additional at all. You might have saved up enough air miles over time to be able to finally use them. Flying business class is something that should certainly be done at least once in your lifetime, and when it comes to travelling in style, this certainly needs to be high on your list of choices. It’s a great way of starting off your holiday, especially if you’re on a long haul flight.

Rent A Boat

Renting a boat or yacht is certainly a luxury and with it, comes a more unique travelling experience. If you’re a little more flexible and enjoy the great outdoors then travelling by boat or going on a cruise is certainly something different.

Cruises are fun if you want to see a variety of places while having all your food and entertainment chucked in as part of your travels. If you’re going to rent a yacht though, check out some of the incredible boats through yacht charter Martinique. Worth noting, you’ll certainly pay for the experience, but if you’re travelling with a large group and keen to make real memories of your travel, then travelling by yacht or boat can be great.

Eat Out In Style

Dining out when on holiday is all part of your experience, so you should certainly consider splashing out at least one evening. Whether it’s a high end restaurant, a fancy wine bar or a Michelin star restaurant, it will certainly add a touch of style and elegance to your trip.

We’ve been fortunate to dine in some wonderful restaurants in recent times. If you’re visiting Belfast as part of your travels and looking for a stylish eating establishment, then consider somewhere like the Michelin starred Deanes Eipic.

Be Sure to Enjoy the Tourist Experiences

Wherever you travel, there’s always something to experience. Whether that’s visiting the Elephant Sanctuary in Phuket, going snorkeling in the Caribbean or marvelling at the Eiffel Tower, there is always a memorable experience just waiting to be enjoyed.

Take advantage of all these tourist experiences and do as many things as you can during your trip. Some travel experiences truly will be once in a lifetime, so be sure to plan out your trip and don’t miss out on anything truly unique on your trip!

Hire a Tour Guide

Sometimes all the internet research and recommendations from friends can only offer you so much for when you’re traveling somewhere new. So it might be a good idea to hire a tour guide if you’re unfamiliar with the area. Or even join a walking tour or food tour of an area. These are often carried out by locals with great knowledge of the area, allowing you to see sights of a town or city that you would otherwise likely miss. We’ve enjoyed some great tours of places like Derry, Berlin and Valencia in recent years, allowing us to witness sights that we simply wouldn’t have visited.
